Tapioca pearls are the most popular topping in bubble tea, made mainly from tapioca starch and often called boba, black ball or black pearl. It is popular for its chewy texture and usually flavoured with brown sugar or honey. In addition to being used in pearl milk tea, it can also be used in desserts, such as ingredients for cakes, shaved ice, ice cream and puffs, etc.

Made in Taiwan.

Cooking Instructions:
How to cook 2.5mm Black Tapioca Pearls

The recommended ratio of Black Tapioca Pearls to water is 1:8.
1. Prepare 1000g pearls and 8000ml hot water.
2. Bring water to boil. When the water boils, pour in the pearls.
3. Stir until the pearls float to the top of the water, then turn the heat to low or medium.
4. Set a timer for 30 minutes (stir once every 3 minutes).
5. After cooking for 30 minutes, cover and simmer for another 30 minutes.
6. After 30 minutes of simmering, pour it into a strainer and wash it with room temperature water.
7. After rinsing, be sure to drain and pour into the container.
8. Finally, add fructose/sugar water/brown sugar syrup/honey to enhance flavour.
9. Ready to serve.

The proportions and cooking time can be adjusted according to personal preference.
